The World Champion Philippines Dragon Boat Team stepped up last weekend to help deliver over 100 metric tons of high-energy biscuits to areas hit by floods after Typhoon Nesat.

The team used the very same dragon boat which has won them five gold medals and two silver medals at this year’s Dragon Boat World Championships in Tampa Bay, Florida.

Over 3.2 million people in northern Luzon were affected by Typhoon Nesat. WFP has so far delivered food assistance to around 500,000 people in the region.

I don’t care if it was a photo-op, it was still a good effort put forth.
